Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday evening.

The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Tangerine in El Centro. A 16-year-old said that he was held-up by a man wearing a black hoodie and black ski mask and armed with a handgun. The thief took the youth's cell phone, a vape pen and his friend's wallet. The suspect was described as being about 5'4" and thin build. He was last seen heading eastbound on Tangerine and then north on Eshelman. Despite a search of the area the suspect was not located but police did find a black, 9mm Glock-style ghost gun left behind at the scene.
