The former president of Local 2805 chapter of the American Federation of Government Employees was sentenced Wednesday.

Felix Luciano, a former Department of Homeland Security officer, was convicted of embezzling $36,000 from the union that represents Department of Homeland Security, Immigrational and Customs Enforcement employees in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Luciano used some of Local 2805 money for a variety of personal expenses, including shopping, groceries, dining, dry cleaning and other items by writing checks from the union's account and using the union credit and debit cards.
