Over $560,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized at the Calexico East Cargo Facility.

On Monday, August 28, shortly after 5:00 p.m., a tractor trailer entered the facility with a load manifested as three tractors in the trailer. The driver was referred to secondary inspection where a CBP canine team alerted to the vehicle. CBP agents were able to locate 5 duffel bags in the trailer. The duffel bags contained over 567 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of over $560,000. The 45-year-old man driving the big rig was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
