The letter expresses the City's enthusiastic support of the Black Rock Geothermal Project They say the project will provide critically needed new, renewable baseload generating capacity to support grid reliability and the state's transition to clean, carbo-free electricity. The letter says the Black Rock Project will also provide significant economic benefits to Imperial County. The City will also ratify a letter to the commission in support of the Elmnore North Geothermal Project and the Morton Bay Geothermal Project.
