(Very Hot Temperatures expected to return next week).....The National Weather Service says high temperatures could hit 110 degrees again by Monday.

The extreme heat can be hazardous, even deadly. County Public Health advises residents to know where the Cool Centers and Hydration Stations are located. If you go out stay hydrated and wear light, loose fitting clothes. The Health Department has released an updated report on Heat Related Illnesses this summer. The number has increased to 81. Seven of those have been fatal.. Officials say that number could increase to 15, depending on test results on several incidents. The heat has been deadly in surrounding areas, as well. Yuma is reporting 17 heat related deaths so far, and in Mexicali there have been over 30 deaths attributed to the high temperatures. In Imperial County there have been 45 Heat Exhaustion cases, 26 cases have been heat fatigue or dehydration. There have been 3 cases of heat stroke reported.
