El Centro Police are investigating the theft of a purse.

At about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday a woman reported that a window was broken out of her car and a Coach purse was stolen. The car was parked in the 1200 block of Ross Avenue, near Bucklin Park, where a number of similar burglaries have been reported recently.
