(Imperial County Strike Team had been sent to the Rabbit Fire)....The fire is in Moreno Valley in Riverside County.

It was first reported last Friday. A Strike Team from Imperial County was requested on Saturday, July 15. The Team, consisting of engines from El Centro, Holtville, Calipatria, Centinela State Prison and Yuma Fire left last Saturday. Holtville Fire Chief Silva says the team returned to the County. All were safe with no injuries to report. An update on the Rabbit Fire was released Thursday morning. The wildfire has apparently been stopped at 8,283 acres and is 75% contained. Officials say one civilian was injured in the fire, and 42 structures were threatened. As of this morning, all roads surrounding the fire have been opened and evacuations have been canceled. Officials say as of this morning there is minimal fire activity, with crews strengthening the containment lines and patroling the area to extinguish flare ups in the brush.
