(The two defendants had been arrested by Imperial Police)....The District Attorney's office said the Imperial Department investigated the case involving multiple vehicle thefts.

The defendants, Jesse Parra and Abel Antu Arguilez were charged in a 9 count complaint. Five different trucks were reported stolen and one had a gun inside. Parra wound up entering a guilty plea to 1 count of grand theft of a firearm, a strike crime and one count of receiving stolen property. He was sentenced to 6 years 4 months in state prison. Arguilez entered a guilty plea to 2 counts of receiving stolen property, one count of taking a vehicle without permission and a misdemeanor accessory after the fact. Arguilez was sentenced to 5 years 6 months in county jail.
