Riding a bicycle without lights at night could land you in jail.

At about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, an El Centro Police officer observed a man riding a bicycle in the 200 block of East Orange Avenue. There were no lights on the bike and the officer recognized the man riding the bike and knew he had a felony bench warrant outstanding. The bike rider tried to run but was detained after a short foot pursuit. The 28-year-old man was arrested and booked at Imperial County Jail on the felony bench warrant as well as Evading Arrest.
