(UPS employees get the go-ahead to strike)....The Union gives the employees strike authorization.

The Teamsters Union represents UPS workers. The Union has voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike, if no agreement is reached on a labor contract before the current contract expires on July 31st. That raises the possibility of massive, nationwide disruptions in UPS deliveries. Negotiations between the Teamsters and UPS began on April 17. The current contract between UPS and the Teamsters Union representing the rank-and-file workers will expire at midnight July 31.
