(Illegal Narcotics found throughout a vehicle)....It happened Monday at Otay Mesa.

At around 9:30 in the morning, Customs and Border Protection officers encountered a vehicle driven by a 23 year old female. During the initial search, the officer found plastic wrapped packages in the spare tire compartment. The vehicle was sent to the secondary inspection area. During a more detailed search, CBP officers found 109 packages throughout the vehicle. The packages contained over 25 pounds of fentynal pills and almost 69 pounds of methamphetamine. The narcotics were valued at over $838,000 The driver was detained and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The CBP seized the vehicle and the narcotics.
