(Structure Fire in El Centro)....It was reported at 6:49 Monday Morning.

El Centro Fire responded to 2070 Elm in El Centro. They noticed smoke coming from the house. Mutual Aid was requested from the County Fire Department. Fire crews made entry to the house and found the living room on fire. The crews were able to knock down the fire within 10-15 minutes, keeping it from spreading out of the living room. The residents are on vacation and not at home at the time of the fire. The family dog was home, and the animal died from smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
