(AB 1567 moves out of Assembly Policy Committee). Assembly member Eduardo Garcia says he introduced the bill to take action to protect California Communities from climate crisis.

He introduced the $15.1  billion climate bond with an equity focused investment plan. He says the legislation passed the Assembly Committee on Natural Resources this week, following previous success in the Assembly Committee on Water, Parks and Wildlife. Garcia said communities are suffering real time consequences of climate change, or the worsening public health impacts of pollution. He said this crisis has grown increasingly urgent and deadly. Garcia said they have to act, and they must invest.
