(Soapbox Science Event)....The first one ever in California is coming up.

It will be hosted by San Diego State University Imperial Valley. The event will be held April 27th. A Soapbox Science event is a gathering to promote the work of women and non-binary professionals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The guest speakers for the event include Linda Lara-Jacobo, public health professor at SDSU/Imperial Valley, Tingting Tang, assistant professor at SDSU, Linda Abarbanell, psycology professor at SDSU Imperial Valley, Daniela Flores, co-organizer of the Imperial Valley equity and Justice Coalition and Carley Creley, organizer of Environmental Science and Justice in Imperial Valley. The event is open only for students. It will be held at the SDSU Imperial Valley Campus in Calexico from 11 am to 2 pm.
