(Remembering Civil Rights Leader on his birthday) ...The third Monday in January was set aside to celebrate the birth of Martin Luther King Jr.

In Imperial County the day is marked in El Centro. At 11:00 Monday morning there will be a march from the Conrad Harrison Sports Pavilion at 8th and Adams. They will march to the County Courthouse on Main Street. At 12:00 will be the annual reenactment of the Martin Luther King Jr. "I Have A Dream" speech. The public is encouraged to participate in the March and to veiw the reenactment on the steps of the County Courthouse.
