(This year the Christmas Weekend varies)...

For some it is a three-day weekend. For others it is a four-day weekend. For one city, it is a three-and-a-half-day weekend. The City of El Centro was open for a half day Friday and will be closed Monday. The City of Imperial has the four-day weekend, as does the County. The Imperial Irrigation District Offices took the 3-day weekend. Their offices are closed Monday. The California Highway Patrol goes into the Maximum Enforcement Period at 6:00 Friday evening. It will continue until just before midnight Monday. The MEM is the CHP Holiday enforcement. They call in as many officers as possible to patrol the roadways, in an effort to make traveling as safe as possible.
