(Imperial Council to reorganize)...It will be held December 21st.

The current Mayor Geoff Dale will not only be turning over the gavel, he will be bidding the council a farewell after over 20 years of public service. If the rotation is followed, the current Mayor Pro-tem Katie Burnworth will be named the new Mayor.. Re-elected James Tucker and newly elected Ida Obeso Martinez and Stacy Mendoza will be seated on the City Council. Also during the ceremony, former City Council member Karin Eugenio will be congratulated on her elected to the Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors. The Reorginization will be held in the Imperial City Council Chambers on 9th Street, beginning at 7:00 pm.
