There were four San Diego Section football teams in the state championships this yer and all four won.

On Friday, Mater Dei Catholic defeated Oakland McClymonds 26 - 18 for the Division 2-AA title and Lincoln High School defeated Concord La Salle 33 - 28 for the state Division 1-AA crown. 

On Saturday, Granite Hills outlasted Danville San Ramon Valley 31 - 24 in overtime for the state Division 2-A title and in the Division 6-AA Championship game, Classical Academy topped San Jose Santa Teresa 7 - 0.
