(Brawley City Council meets Tuesday evening)….It is their regular meeting.
A couple of items are in preparation for Cattle Call Week in November. The Inferno Restaurant will be asking for permission to sell and consume alcohol during a special event on November 8th. The Brawley Chamber will make the same request, but for Mariachi Night on November 6th. The Council will consider awarding a contract for the Legion Street Improvements Project from Highway 86 to Evelyn Avenue. They will also discuss and possibly take action on the Streets Rehabilitation Phase 11 Project. The Council will be asked to declare next week as 4-H Week, and Fire Prevention Week. Police Chief Robert Sawyer will introduce Police Officers Susana Chin and Adam Moreno and Reserve Police Officer Steven Gonzalez to the Brawley Council. The meeting begins at 6:00 pm and will be held in the City Council Chambers on Main Street in Brawley.
