The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Imperial and Yuma Counties.

The temperatures are expected to reach 112 to 116 degrees with accompanying high risk for heat related issues. The NWS says that the high temperatures will hold through Monday with the potential to continue into at least Tuesday. They added that their is the potential for thunderstorms during the middle of next week.
