(Long-time IID employees found shot to death)…They were found earlier this week.
The husband and wife had been employed by the Imperial Irrigation District for several years. They worked out of the La Quinta office. The married couple was identified as 59 year old Herman Heintz and 44 year old Ada Heintz. La Quinta police had responded to the couple’s home after receiving a report of a woman being shot. When they arrived they found the woman’s body. A search of the house resulted in the discovery of a male body, also suffering a gunshot wound. The incident is being investigated as a suspected murder/suicide. The woman had worked for the IID for 19 years. The male had just completed his 41st year with the District.
