(Restrictions on San Diego water users)….The restrictions are mandatory.
The action is due to the continued drought in the state. The San Diego County Water Authority met this week and unanimously activated the next stage of the region’s drought response plan. They declared a Drought Condition alert. The restrictions include limiting outdoor watering days and times. Watering is only allowed during the late evening or early morning.. Eliminating irrigation run-off. Turning off water fountains that do not use a recycling system. Must use hoses with shut-off valves to wash cars. Restaurants can serve water on request only. Many of the restriction duplicate regulations set down by the state earlier this month. The Authority has not said what happens if somebody violates the mandated restrictions.
