(Much needed traffic signal gets the go-ahead)….District 4 Supervisor Ryan Kelley said it was a long time in the works.
Public Works Director William Brunet went before the Board of Supervisors Tuesday to ask that they adopt a resolution adopting plans and specifications for a traffic signal and striping installation on Highway 86 at Borrego Salton Seaway/South Marina Drive in Salton City, and related actions. The approval of the resolution allows Brunet to advertise for bids for the project. The Public Works Director said the project will cost about $1.96 million. He said part of the funding is being paid for by developers. Brunet said once a bid is accepted and they go through the Cal Trans permit process and requirements, he expects the traffic signal will be installed at the first of the year.
