Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents were recently patrolling the Colorado River, near the border with Mexico. They spotted a group of people trying to free a pick-up that had become stuck on the muddy shore of the River. Once the group spotted the agents, they fled across the border into Mexico. The agents inspected the vehicle and found 855 pounds of marijuana. The street value was placed at $427,000. The vehicle and marijuana were seized. Both were turned over to a Yuma Narcotics Task Force. No arrests were made.
