They both, however, service the entire County. The grants were awarded from the Emergency Solutions Grant program. Martha’s Village and Kitchen received a grant of $168,000. Womanhaven, Inc. was awarded a grant of $167,475 for its rapid rehousing program and another grant of $151,735 for its shelter and auxiliary services. In announcing the grants, Majority Floor Leader Assemblymen Manuel Perez said these organizations have excellent track records of service, and he knew they would put the funds to good use to help vulnerable families in the community.
