(ECPD offers assurances)…..Police are continuing to investigate a murder Monday night.
El Centro Police say there is nothing new in the investigation. A 28-year-old man was shot several times Monday night in the 3500 block of Mustard Street. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not been released. Police have released no information on the suspect. They have said El Centro Police and allied agencies have worked tirelessly night and day and while they continue to investigate, the information obtained shows no indication there is any threat to the general public.
