(Woman tries to smuggle drugs and other contraband into prison)…27 year old Porsha Sherrie Yancey had traveled from Sacramento over the weekend.
She went to the Calipatria State Prison to visit Jermaine Blair, who had been convicted of robbery. The woman could not clear the metal detector to enter the secure area for visitations. Yancey agreed to a search, after admitting she was carrying contraband. The search resulted in the discovery of 76 grams of tobacco, 125 grams of heroin with a prison value of $31,250, and 16,6 grams of methamphetamine with a prison value of $16,600. Evidence collected connected Blair to the crime, and he was placed in the prison’s administrative segregation unit. The 27 year old was arrested and booked into county jail.
