(SDSU/IV students win Provost award at Student Research Symposium)….Four Psychology students won the award.
The Provost award was presented at the recent Student Research Symposium for their poster presentation. The Symposium was held at San Diego State University. The title of the award winning poster presentation was The Role of Sexting in the Romantic Relationships of Latinas/ Emerging Adults. This was the first time that students from SDSU/IV have won a Provost Award at the SRS, which is given to only 12 of the most outstanding poster presentations across all categories. The group, Maria Lopez Cabrera, Cyndi Garcia, Abel Herrera and Valeria Granados, received a monetary award of $150, as well. Also, this year’s winners of the SDSU/IV Dean’s Award were psychology students Kayla Hutchinson, Monica Martinez and Sergio Ojeda for their research study entitled Parent-Daughter Relationships and Disordered Eating in Latina College Students
