(The National Night Out is coming in August)…August 3 will be the 27^th Annual National Night Out. The El Centro Police Department will once again participate. The National Night Out involves over 15,000 communities from all 50 states. 40 million people are expected to participate in America’s night out against crime. This year Target, a national corporate partner, is teaming with the El Centro Police Department to host a special event at Swarthout Field, starting at 7:00 pm on August 3. Everyone is invited to the event. Community Services Officer Shannon Swank says they hope to make this year’s event bigger and better than last year.
