(Preparations underway for the November elections)…County Elections Department is getting ready for the Consolidated General Election. The local ballot November 2 will include 8 school districts, 3 special districts and two cities. Imperial will have 3 city council seats on their ballot. Holtville will have two city council seats on their ballot. The filing deadline for the November Election is 5:00 pm August 6. Candidates in a run-off from the June primary election will also be on the November Ballot. Run-off candidates who want to submit a statement for the November ballot can do so before the filing deadline. The deposit to the Elections Department is $350. Candidates filing for the School and Special Districts should file at the County Registrar of Voters office. Those filing for city seats should contact the city clerk in the jurisdiction they are interested in
