FEMA , Cal EMA Approve Disaster Recovery Money

The Federal and State Emergency Management Agencies have approved $52,864 in Public Assistance funds for three Imperial County public agencies. The funds will reimburse the Imperial Irrigation District ( IID ) , Imperial County and Salton City Community Services District for costs associated with emergency response and debris removal associated with the severe winter storms that swept through the county in January and February of this year.. The IID will receive $29,950 , the County $1,507 and the Salton City Community Services District will receive $21,404. Federal and state officials are still reviewing the eligibilty of other requests from the area.
