(Watt-Wise Wednesdays wrap up in the Imperial Valley)….The event will be at Condit Auditorium in El Centro. The Program is a bulb exchange sponsored by the Imperial Irrigation District. From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Wednesday residents can take five incandescent light bulbs to Condit Auditorium on Broadway in El Centro, and trade them for 5 CFL’s for free. The IID says the Compact Fluorescent Lights could save 75 % in electricity. To qualify for the exchange, you need a valid California ID or Drivers license, and a copy of your electric bill. The offer is limited to Imperial Irrigation District residential customers only. After the Watt-Wise Bulb Exchange programs wraps up this week, it will move on to the Coachella Valley in August.
