One killed after vehicle rolls down embankment near Jacumba

(One dead and one injured)….A single vehicle incident was reported Sunday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol in east San Diego County says a passenger vehicle went off westbound Interstate 8 and rolled down an embankment west of Jacumba at around 3:42 in the afternoon. The CHP says the white sedan landed on its roof after traveling down the steep embankment. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second was flown by Helicopter to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The extent of that persons injuries was not known. The Highway Patrol would not release any names. They said the incident was still under investigation.
