Borstar rescues lost illegal immigrants

(Seven rescued by Border Patrol agents)…The seven had been missing about a week. They were part of a group of 16 who had crossed the border illegally last Thursday, near the community of La Rumorosa, in the East San Diego County Mountains. Borstar, the Border Patrol rescue unit out of El Centro, found the first group of 9 last weekend. They informed the agents of the other 7. Borstar was able to find the lost men in an area described as difficult to access. A couple of the illegals were suffering from slight hypothermia, but for the most part they were in good health and did not need hospital attention. They were given first aide, and warmed up, before being processed and deported at the Calexico Downtown Port of Entry.
