(Hundreds fed over the Holiday)…Salvation Army hosts its annual feast.

 Over 1,200 meals were served Thanksgiving Day at the Salvation Army’s Park Avenue location. Over 250 volunteers helped serve up the meals. The Turning Point Ministries also served hundreds of meals at Holt Park. Many of their meals were to go. A special Turkey Ride at the Lucky’s Shopping Center parking lot. More than 300 turkeys were donated. They distributed to families that could not afford to buy a turkey this year. The Salvation Army still has several Holiday programs underway. They are putting together Christmas Baskets. There is the Angel Tree program and the Adopt a Family Program. For information on any of the Salvation Army Holiday programs, call 760-352-4528.
