(Salvation Army serving up a feast)…It is their traditional Thanksgiving Day Feast. They have cooked up 100 turkeys and prepared all the trimmings. The feast begins at 11:00 Thursday morning at Park Avenue and Fifth Street in El Centro. They expect to feed even more families this year, than they did last year. Last year the Salvation fed 800 residents. This year they expect anywhere between 900 and 1200. The feast is paid for through community donations. |
