(IID releases Crop Acreage Report for November)…According to the report, acreage is up this month about 8%, as compared to the same period last year. All Alfalfa acreage is up 7%. All Bermudagrass is up just 3 %, as is all Lettuce. Carrot acreage is also up 3% over last year’s acreage. Sugarbeet acreage is up 37%. Broccoli acreage is up 21 %. On the other side, Wheat acreage is down 69%, Sudangrass is down 66%. Kliengrass acreage is down 11% and all Onion acreage is down 10%. Fallowed or idled acreage is at 112,126 acres, down 12% from the same period last year. Row crop acreage is up 7%.
