(Zendejas dies from gunshot wound)…The body of 27-year-old Cornelio Zendejas was found in a park car Saturday night. Investigators are not revealing very much information. It has been revealed the death was caused by a single gunshot wound. Sheriff’s deputies found the body after receiving a call Saturday concerning an abandoned Nissan Maxima. The caller said the vehicle had been at the Salton City intersection for at least a couple days. Zendejas, who worked at a local convenience store, was last seen last Thursday. The investigation was determined to be a homicide after not weapon was discovered at the scene. It was also determined the vehicle was not registered to the victim. Investigators say they are following leads, but as yet they have no suspects.
