(British Military Helicopter crash lands near Holtville)…The Royal Air force is investigating the incident.

They are not releasing a lot of information. The British Military was conducting night training at the Holtville Airport at 2:30 Monday morning when the chopper crash-landed at the airport. The troops were training for deployment to Afghanistan. Three were injured in the incident. One was transported to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment of two broken legs. Firefighters from Holtville and the Naval Air Facility, El Centro responded to the incident, but there was no fire. Officials say the transport chopper landed hard and tipped over. The RAF in England says the investigation will determine if there was pilot error, or if the incident was caused by mechanical failure of some type.
