(Six rescued in desert)….Border Patrol Agents say they responded to a rescue beacon.

The Yuma Sector agents say the beacon activitated Tuesday evening. The signal came from an area about 25 miles east of Yuma. Agents responded and found six illegal immigrants that were dehydrated. They told agents they had been stranded in the Desert for two days without sufficient water. The agents gave the six water before they were evaluated by a Border Patrol agent who is a certified emergency medical technician. It was determined the group was in stable condition, but required advanced medical attention. They were transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center. Yuma Sector officials say once the six are released from the Hospital, they will be processed for deportation.
