$1.6 million awarded for Adult Job Training PDF Print E-mail

(Supervisors approve Training funds allotments)…The Adult Training Services awards total more than $1.6 million.

 The Imperial County Workforce Development Board recommended the awards. The funds come from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. According to the approved list; San Diego State University/Imperial Valley will receive $300,000 for a Medical Office Assistant Program, IVROP will get $256,500 for a Maintenance Technician training program, IVROP will also receive $300,000 for an On-The-Job training program, Imperial valley College receives $254,246 for a Pipe Fitting Program, IVC will also receive $299,975 for a Renewable Energy Instrumentalist Program, IVROP is to receive $145,800 for an RN Mentorship Program, and $260,638 goes to IVC for a Solar and Wind Technician Program.
