(IID to meet Tuesday)…The Imperial Irrigation District Board meeting will be held in La Quinta. The District tries to schedule at least one meeting every quarter in the Coachella Valley. There will be no action items on this week’s agenda. All issues will be informational. The Directors will discuss a proposed master power purchase agreement with the Comision Federal de Electricidad, the Federal Power Commission in Mexico. They will also conduct the second and final public hearing on proposed changes to the Energy Cost Adjustment. A consultant is proposing to modify the utility’s ECA factor. According to the proposal, the new formula would offer a clear and concise definition to the ECA. The initial change would be revenue neutral and would not result in an increase to any customer’s bill. The Energy Cost Adjustment is designed to recover Fuel, Transmission and other related costs. The District Board meeting will begin at 1:00 pm Tuesday. The Public Hearing is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
