(Brush fire in Winterhaven)…Sheriff’s Deputies blocked off Quechan Road until the fire was extinguished. The fire was started in a park at around noon Tuesday. Winterhaven fire responded, and quickly had the blaze under control. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. Officials did not say how much brush had burned by the time firefighters were able to put the fire out. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. |
