Saturday event to raise money for Rosas family

(Fundraiser for family of slain Border Patrol Agent)….An off-road group wants to raise money for the family of Robert Rosas. The 30 year old Border Patrol agent was shot and killed July 23 while investigating suspicious activity in the mountains near Campo. Rosas was an El Centro native. The Five Month Club has scheduled a Poker Run for Saturday. The event will raise money for the Rosas family. The 70-mile run will begin near Boulevard. Registration begins at 7:00 am Saturday. Riders are to meet at Sacred Rocks Reserve RV Park and ride to a spot west of Tecate. Each rider will purchase cards along the route. At the end, the rider with the best hand wins prizes. The ride begins at 8:00 am.
