(Candidate list set for the November 3 elections)…Three Cities around the County will be choosing City Council Members. Brawley has two seat up for election. Calipatria and El Centro will each be choosing three council members. The filing deadline is over. In Brawley, the Candidates are Toni Carrillo, Sam Couchman and Miguel Miranda. Incumbents John Benson and Steve Vasquez did not file for re-election. In Calipatria all three incumbents filed for re-election. Kay A. Ours, Peter Fuentes and Fred Beltran will face challengers Trevor Green and Patricia Nelson. In El Centro there are two seats and three candidates. Ben Solomon and Cheryl Viegas-Walker filed for re-election. Jason Jackson has also filed for the November ballot. El Centro will also have a Measure G on the ballot.
