(Seat could be filled soon)…There has been some movement towards filling the vacated Supervisorial seat.

Victor Carrillo recently resigned the District One seat in order to accept the position of City manager in Calexico. The County asked the Governor to appoint a replacement for the seat as soon as possible. Thursday a representative from the appointments office was in Imperial County. The representative was reportedly interviewing the Four remaining Board members, trying to get a feel for what they are doing and who would be a proper fit to work with them. The current board wants a full board as they discuss a budget for the County. Several have said they would like to serve as County Supervisor, including Calexico Mayor Louis Fuentes, Former Supervisor Tony Tirado, Former Calexico City Councilman John Renison and many others.
