(Rapper’s trial postponed, again)…Lil Wayne was arrested on drug and weapons charges in January 2008. The rapper’s real name is Dwayne Carter. His motor home had been stopped and searched at Dateland, near Yuma. Border Patrol agents reportedly found drugs and weapons in the vehicle. This week, after several delays, Carter was back in court in Yuma, only to be told to come back in October. The attorney for the rapper has requested additional information from the Border Patrol, concerning the search, and the use of k-9’s. The defense attorney is now asking for an evidence list from the scene, and he wants to interview Border Patrol agents to determine what k-9’s are trained to detect. The judge granted the defense requests, delaying the trial once again. |
