(Prison routines returning to normal)…Correctional facilities went into lock-down on August 8.

The measures followed a riot at the Chino Institution for men. Guards from facilities around Southern California were sent to the Chino facility, leaving their own prisons under-manned. 1,150 Chino prisoners were displaced following the riot. They were transported to prisons in Calipatria, Monterrey County and Riverside County. Administrative Lieutenant Richard Dubbe says all is back to normal at his facility. Dubbe is the Public Information Officer at the Centinela Prison near Seeley. He said Guards from the Centinela Prison have returned and the facility is on a normal program at this time. Officials say 110 inmates were injured in the August 8 melee, 10 of whom remain hospitalized. The injuries range from stab wounds to internal bleeding. The cause of the riot is still under investigation.
