(Lava Lamps handed out Friday)….The awards are an annual event hosted by the Calexico Chamber of Commerce. They go to residents who go above and beyond for the good of the good of the community. This year’s recipients are: Lourdes Cordova, Calexico’ City Clerk and recently retired after 37 years at City Hall: Adolfo “Fito” Yturralde, Calexico Businessman; Sandra Tauler, Calexico’s Director of Community services; and Stephen Roeder, Dean of the San Diego State University/Imperial Valley Campus. |
