(It is official, Morris is in charge)….Paul Morris has been acting Field Operations Director for the San Diego region for a few months.

The Region includes Imperial County. Morris has attended events in Imperial County, being introduced as the replacement of Gurdit Dhillon. Dhillon retired in January as the Regional Director, after 38 years of service. Morris was officially sworn in during ceremonies Thursday afternoon. The ceremonies were held on the USS Midway Museum in San Diego. It was the first official Change of Command Ceremony to be held in the San Diego Region. Morris brings 20 years of service to the job. Prior to this assignment, Morris served at Customs and Border Protection Headquarters in Washington D.C. He worked as acting Deputy Assistant Commissioner in the office of Field Operations, responsible for oversight of programs and operations for 327 ports of entry and 20 major field offices nationwide.
